YAWNi (formerly Sacred Daisy) is led by guitarist/vocalist Mary Sullivan, whose tremulous singing and frantic playing occupies the middle ground between Victoria Williams and Corin Tucker. With the aid of a Mo Tucker-style stand-up drummer, Mary pursues a sound that's both delicate and destructive.
